When we first met Pam and Ray, we were excited to find out they would be holding their reception at the elegant NJ wedding venue – The Palace at Somerset Park.
Before we get to the Palace though, let’s talk about the whole day. We started at separate locations taking getting ready photos. Ron was with Ray and Gwynne was with Pam. Everyone was excited for the day to begin. On to the ceremony in the church, which was lovely. Afterwards, guests greeted the newlywed couple with streamers on the church steps. We then headed off to the courthouse in Somerset to take a few couple photos before heading to their reception.
The whole day was so memorable. Pam chose blush pink, ivory, and gold as their colors. Her bouquet was filled with beautiful pink peonies and cream roses. Pam’s dress, from Bridal Reflections in NYC, was breathtaking! It was classic and elegant with so many beautiful details. Ray’s black tuxedo was accented with gold details.
Pam and Ray’s reception was in the large, blue and gold accented East Ballroom. Their cocktail hour, held just outside the ballroom, was filled with amazing food and drink. After cocktail hour, they made a grand entrance down the stairs into the ballroom and kicked off their reception with a first dance set in clouds. They looked so beautiful and in love out on the dance floor moving among the clouds! Next everyone joined in the fun and they also honored their family traditions with a Macedonian Wedding Pig Dance. It was a lot of fun to photograph.
Finally, late in the evening we went outside to get a photo of Pam and Ray in front of the Palace which was illuminated with up-lighting.
We are grateful to Pam and Ray for selecting us to photograph their wedding. We love working at an elegant NJ wedding venue and the Palace at Somerset Park is certainly one of those.
