NJ Engagement Photography - Look of LoveNJ Engagement photography with Victoria and Douglas at Colonial Park in Somerset, NJ was a lot of fun. It was a warm summer afternoon, the light was perfect, and of course, love was in the air!  We love Colonial Park because there is so much variety there and it is very photographer friendly.  It’s almost never crowded and you can take photos pretty much any where you want.  They won’t let you take photos in the rose garden, but the perennial garden and the gazebo are so pretty it doesn’t matter.

Patterson_engage_027_web NJ Engagement Photography in Somerset Park We walked all around the park listening to their love story and capturing it with our cameras.  You get a sense of the size of the park and we are only in one area of it off of parking lot F.  We love that Victoria and Douglas coordinated their colors.  If you want to get some ideas of what to wear for your engagement session, check out Gwynne’s Pinterest board.NJ Engagement Photography

Douglas is a police officer so Victoria wanted to have some fun with his handcuffs!  Victoria’s smile is infectious – don’t you think?

Once again, we feel so lucky to be able to capture NJ engagement photography.  No matter where we go, there is always something interesting to use as a backdrop.  It’s really just comes down to looking around, being creative, and having a couple that wants to have some fun.  Sometimes couples come with props and ideas about specific photos they want and sometimes they just come.  Either way works for us.

Lying in the grass - NJ Engagement PhotographyWe thank Victoria and Douglas for sharing their day with us.  We look forward to our next NJ engagement photography session.  Please call 908-236-4136 or contact us today to schedule your engagement session or discuss our wedding packages which all include an engagement session.

All the best, Gwynne and Ron
