It was a beautiful day for a spring engagement photo session when Renata and Corey met us at the Pearl S. Buck house in Perkasie, PA. They were both wearing jerseys from their favorite football players (running backs). Corey wore Roger Craig from the 49er’s (our hometown team when we lived in CA) and Renata wore Brian Westbrook from the Dolphins. There is something about love and spring gardens with their beautiful flowering trees that is just magical!
The Pearl S. Buck House with it’s gardens makes an amazing backdrop for engagement photos any time of year, but for a spring Engagement photo session, it’s perfect! It’s also quite convenient to both central NJ and eastern PA. The people there were very nice as well.
For those interested in a little history, Pearl S. Buck was quite an accomplished writer and received both the Pulitzer (for the book, “The Good Earth”) and the Nobel prize for literature. She spent the first 40 years of her life in China and the remaining 40 years living in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She was a driving force in humanitarian causes and a longtime advocate of cross-cultural understanding and racial harmony as a means towards world peace. She and her friends founded The Welcome House Adoption Agency, which continues today. OK, now that we are all a little educated about a great woman, back to our spring engagement photo session…
We took a stroll around the property and found lots of lovely garden setting to capture the love between Renata and Corey.
Part of the interest of this location is the beautiful buildings. Renata and Corey seemed to be having as much fun as we were at the session.
Purple is the main color for Renata’s wedding, so Gwynne took her ring shot near a purple petunia.
At the end of the day, we are sure they are best friends, but it must get interesting when the 49er’s play the Dolphins. We wish them all the best in their life together and we thank them for letting us capture these special moments with them!
