Payment for your photo session is due at the time of booking. If for any reason you need to change a scheduled session, we require 72 hours' notice, otherwise your session fee will be forfeited. In the event of rescheduling with less than 72 hours' notice, if we are able to fill your slot with another client, we will credit your fee towards your rescheduled session.
We typically only schedule one session per day, so if you have a particular day in mind, give us a call to see if your date is available and to get on our schedule as early as possible.
In the event of rain for outdoor shoots, we will either work with you to schedule another location that you deem suitable, or we will schedule you for the next mutually available opening. If the date is later than you want, then we will put you at the top of our waiting list so you can take advantage of any slots that become available.
Prior to your photo shoot we meet with you and at least one of your parents so that we can get to know you and create a plan for your photo shoot. We prefer this meeting to be in person, but we can do it over the phone or via Skype as long as you and one parent can attend the call. During the consultation, we will talk about what you want to capture, your activities and interests, and any special requests that you have so that we can create a plan to capture your unique images.
We will discuss all the details of the shoot including locations, outfits and props (if any), and timing. After the consultation we will send you a summary of the photo shoot plan so that we all understand the plan, timing, and location. If you need to make any changes, just call us so that we can adjust the plan accordingly. Larger changes such as location changes may impact timing, so we request at least 72 hours' notice of all change requests. When you call us, we will advise you if this change has any other impact on your session (most changes don't impact session).
Clothing, Hair, and Makeup
The most important thing about your clothing is that you are comfortable and that it reflects your style. We don't place limits on the number of outfits, but we will discuss the number of outfit changes that you plan during your consultation to ensure we have enough time for you to change and get the great photos you want. A wide variety of outfits can be used from team uniforms to casual outfits to formal wear - it's up to you and what you think best reflects your unique personality.
Hair and makeup is a personal choice and girls may want to consider using a professional stylist and getting a professional makeup application prior to your shoot. Often this is available at your regular salon. These photos will last a lifetime, so this typically small extra investment can go a long way towards delivering the look you want. We do suggest that you do not make any drastic hair or makeup changes just for the shoot - go with what feels comfortable and natural for you. Boys should make sure your hair is comfortable and cut a week or two before your shoot.
